Terms of Service
Last updated: August 1, 2026
These terms govern your use of Salute, a service that lets businesses send review requests to their customers by text message or email. By creating an account or using Salute, you agree to them.
Who you may contact
Salute is for reaching your own customers. You may only send review requests to people who:
- have a genuine, existing business relationship with you (you performed work or provided a service for them), and
- gave you their phone number or email address and consented to be contacted about their service.
Purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party contact lists are prohibited. Sending to anyone who is not your own consenting customer is a violation of these terms and grounds for immediate account termination.
No review gating
Every customer you message receives the same public review link. You may not use Salute to screen customers by sentiment and steer only happy ones toward leaving a public review. This practice ("review gating") violates Google's review policies and is not permitted on Salute.
Honest reviews only
You may not use Salute to solicit fake reviews, offer incentives in exchange for positive reviews, or ask anyone to misrepresent their experience. Review requests must ask for honest feedback.
Opt-outs are final
When a recipient replies STOP or otherwise opts out, Salute blocks further messages to them and you may not attempt to contact them through Salute again, or circumvent the suppression by re-entering their details.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your account credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- Ensure the information you enter about customers is accurate and lawfully obtained.
- Comply with applicable laws in your use of Salute, including telemarketing and messaging regulations such as the TCPA and CAN-SPAM.
The service
We work to keep Salute reliable, but message delivery depends on carriers and other third parties, and we cannot guarantee that any message is delivered or that any customer leaves a review. Salute is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salute's liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using Salute and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly the consent, list-quality, and review-gating rules above.
Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update this page and the date above, and notify businesses in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
